I met Dr.C and he evaluated my records and did a quick peek at my uterus and said I have high chances of twins. Anyway we started fresh in November 2009. Started again with medications but this time, it was different. I was long protocol with Lupron, Follitism, medrol, estrogen before egg retrival. We got 21 eggs and 17 matured ones. 10 made it to 4 day. I have to thank Dr.T embryologist a genius to make our embryos good. Dr.C's combination of meds also made my eggs more stronger. At his initial visit he said he wants the quality eggs than quantity. Anyway my transfer didn't take place due to my elevated progesterone and it was postponed to Jan 2010. On Jan 23rd 2010, I went to the clinic and had my 2 babies transferred to me. Got home and lay on couch for next 2 days and took easy for next 10 days. on Feb 2nd my beta came back as 280. Then i started getting anxious. The next beta was 700+ then next beta 4 days later was 2800+. On Feb 10th, 2010 i had a tiny bit of spotting. At this point, i was on several meds starting with Estrace 2 times a day, crinone 2 times a day, baby aspirin, lovonex, 1cc of PIO, Folgard and prenatal. So i called Dr.C and he said to increase my PIO to 2cc a day. Then we went for u/s on Feb 11th and saw 2 sacs. Came home and took it easy. Again on Feb 15th I had a significant amount of spotting. So went again for u/s on Feb 16th and saw a flickering heart beat of 95bpm on one sac and a fetal pole on another. the first sac had SCH
Then went back for another u/s the following week and saw 2 heart beats. However the second one had a larger yolk sac(normal is <5>
Then we told our parents and some other friends. I was at home all these days and didn't go anywhere except doc office. After that my pregnancy was so smooth and I did have Gestational Diabetic but that is nothing compared to what we went thru. I delivered my boy and the girl on September 2010 and we are so in love. My girl has minor anatomy problem where her spine ending is attached to a muscle. That is the reason for larger yolk sac and absent nasal bone. But it is 100% correctable and we'll have her surgery sometime in January. But right now I'm in love with my babies and all my pain/sufferings are gone when I look at them.
